Belchertown's Age & Dementia Friendly Implementation Group unanimously postponed its 2026 AARP Community Challenge Grant application. The group, led by members Jessica Langlois, Linda Leduc, Doug Albertson, and Gretchen O'Neil with guest Dawn Cote, decided to delay submission to allow more time collecting information about the Lake Wallace Trail through the Recreation Department. Two memorial benches have been donated to the Lake Wallace Sensory Trail.
The Capital Committee declined to recommend funding for a new van, though a line item for van leasing may appear in the Council on Aging's Town Meeting budget. An educational seminar on the Beaver Deceivers is planned for June at the Senior Center.
