Board approves revised septic system design at 366 Allen Street
Board of Health · Meeting of April 27, 2026
Belchertown Board of Health approves revised septic system for 366 Allen Street. The board unanimously backed a redesigned system that relocates the treatment area to the rear of the property, overturning a December 2025 rejection. Roger Bacon, the approving authority, confirmed excellent Class 1 soil conditions and percolation rates below two minutes per inch.
The board also confirmed closure of Tables on the Green restaurant at Cold Spring Country Club and reviewed two warrant articles for the May town meeting: a $5,000 revolving fund for tobacco enforcement and a stipend increase for the Animal Inspector from $20 to $25 per visit.
