Committee prioritizes $662,900 in capital requests for fiscal 2027

BELCHERTOWN — The Capital Improvement Planning Committee ranked 27 capital requests, prioritizing nine high-priority projects totaling $662,900 for fiscal 2027. Chair Eric Weiss, with members Eric Bernardin and Mike Hofler present, sorted requests by life safety, legal requirements, mission criticality, and community benefit. Ten medium-priority projects totaled $550,200, while eight low-priority projects came to $568,700, with technology capital included in the overall ranking.

The prioritized list was released to the Town Manager for fiscal 2027 budgeting following unanimous committee approval.
