Belchertown Communications Committee approves three tactical projects in communication strategy update. The committee voted unanimously to append Town Website Review, ADA Digital Compliance, and Town AI Policy projects to its comprehensive communication plan, which will be presented to the Select Board for approval. Chris Martin (Chair) noted that minor tactical changes will not require subsequent Select Board authorization.
Committee members reported pursuing AI professional development, with Mark Spiro completing the Google AI Professional Certification program and Lew Louraine signing up for the same course. The town newsletter has grown to 625 subscribers with an 85 percent March open rate. Annual Town Meeting is set for May 11, with town election on May 18.
