Belchertown Communications Committee develops municipal AI governance policy. Chair Chris Martin and Vice Chair Ed Comeau have been working with the Town Manager to develop a tiered AI policy distinguishing tools to avoid, preferred tools, and those acceptable for specific functions, with the policy advancing to Town Counsel for review. Communications Manager Kate Nadeau's position increases to 25 hours per week from 19.
The committee plans to vote at its next meeting on its updated communication plan, developed in response to Community Summit feedback about enhancing internal town communications.
