Communications Committee postpones social media policy vote, advances ADA compliance planning

Communications Committee · Meeting of January 22, 2026

BELCHERTOWN — Communications Committee postpones social media policy vote, advances accessibility work. The committee, meeting January 22 with six members present, deferred a vote on draft social media comment moderation policy to allow members time for review; all were directed to submit feedback to Communications Manager Kate Nadeau before the next meeting. The committee advanced ADA compliance planning for the town website and digital assets, with Nadeau undertaking a full inventory to inform budget requirements for the Select Board.

Chair Chris Martin directed members to identify the top five priority projects from a 29-page Strategic Communications Brief by the February 12 meeting. Town newsletter subscribers grew by nearly 100 in the prior month, reaching approximately 590 readers.
