BELCHERTOWN — Conservation Commission issues Negative Determination for septic work, approves residential compliance. The commission approved a septic and water line extension at 109 Channel Drive for applicant Ramzi Natour, with special conditions requiring a dewatering plan, additional erosion controls, pre-activity inspection, and neighbor permission for water discharge. The commission continued the single-family home hearing for Joseph Miller on Lot A West Street, citing missing test pit data, inadequate alternative analysis for driveway placement within the No Disturb Zone, and unresolved questions about saltwater pool drainage and groundwater elevations.
A Lake Holland cyanobacteria prevention request received a Positive Determination requiring a Notice of Intent after the Department of Environmental Protection determined barley grass is unapproved for use as an algaecide in Massachusetts. The commission issued a Certificate of Compliance for 225 Gulf Road.
