Cultural Council · Meeting of September 1, 2026

BELCHERTOWN — The Cultural Council voted unanimously to approve approximately $80 in combined spending on fall events: $30 to $40 for craft materials at the Lake Wallace Fall Festival on October 3 and up to $50 for a feather flag carrying case. The council advanced planning for Winter Light Night after the town's grant application to the Massachusetts Cultural Council was declined, discussing sponsorship solicitation and vendor quotes for repairs to the event's lights and infrastructure. Staff were assigned to follow up on grant paperwork from multiple artists.

The council planned a Food Truck Friday location survey pending town approval. Kyle Toelken transitioned to associate status, and the budget allocation increased by $400.
