BELCHERTOWN — Council on Aging reviews meal programs and volunteer initiatives. The Advisory Board unanimously approved prior minutes at its May 27 meeting and heard that new dietary categories for home delivered meals will launch October 1 as frozen meals ordered from the supplier. Vice Chair Maureen Keizer, who attended the Belchertown Senior Citizens Center Association meeting with member Lorraine Alves, reported a volunteer has created a system to redirect unusable thrift items to nonprofits and artists; Keizer will draft a recognition letter.
The board discussed a proposed six-session Mahjong class and revised a presenter evaluation form based on suggestions from members Alves and Overly regarding participant origin, attendance motivation, and program feedback.
