Belchertown Cultural Council backs $400 for October Heritage Month event. Chair Melanie Donovan reported Officer Draine Riveria is organizing a Puerto Rican-focused event featuring salsa classes and Latin restaurant food on October 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall Auditorium. Heidi Brunell moved the $400 allocation; the motion passed 6-0 with Peter Stuart, Ruthie Sterling, Kyle Toelken, Melissa Saunders, and Melanie Donovan voting yes.

The council also advanced planning for a Comic Con themed event in April and confirmed Food Truck Friday logistics for August, with all trucks set and fire department EMT detail arranged.
