BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown Economic Development and Industrial Corporation unanimously approved hiring a Special Assistant/Associate Member to handle clerical and operational work. The board paid a $2,759 Directors and Officers Liability Insurance invoice from Great American Insurance Group and reviewed financial discrepancies with MassDevelopment, learning that performance-based forgiveness rather than full repayment is expected under certain development grants. Matt Jackson is selecting a real estate broker for the sale of Parcels B and D; Kirk Stephens reported Parcel B surveyor work nearing completion and Parcel D survey funding available from remaining grant money.
The board began Master Plan review and requested MassDevelopment recommendations on zoning for EDIC properties.
