BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown Economic Development and Industrial Corporation unanimously recommended Beth Maroney for Chair after Kirk Stephens stepped down from the position. Board members voted 5-0 to forward the recommendation to the Town Manager. In parallel business, accountant Dan Haynes began reviewing two years of financial statements in mid-April, while MassDevelopment reported ongoing negotiations with NHP Foundation over a proposed project requiring an executed Purchase and Sale agreement before Town Meeting to secure conditional CPA fund approval.
The Board also grapples with deteriorating building security on BEDIC property, with Kirk Stephens tasked to review maintenance issues.
