Fair Committee approves purchase of 12 walkie-talkie radios for fair operations.

BELCHERTOWN — The Fair Committee unanimously approved purchase of 12 Midland walkie-talkie radios for approximately $700, with Carla Chaisson to research the order. The committee fielded eight vendor applications including a new food vendor and discussed safety infrastructure upgrades for Main Street pedestrian crossings, pending follow-up with DPW. Shawn Lindholm reported that Fair Entry software representatives presented a system promising eventual expansion to rabbit, poultry, and pulling ring events, with a logo design deadline set for April 25.

The committee welcomed Dan Austin as new Associate Member.
