Lakes Committee approves prior minutes, reviews accounts and watershed concerns
Lake Committee · Meeting of January 13, 2026
Belchertown Lakes Committee unanimously approves November minutes. Treasurer John Soja reported $4,870 in the main account and $240 in the gift account. The Tri-Lakes Watershed Association's calendar fundraiser raised approximately $3,200 (final amount pending), with ongoing concerns about beaver management in the lakes and the condition of the culvert between Lakes Holland and Arcadia.
The committee noted that CPA Grant funding for treatment of Lakes Acadia and Holland remains in place, though members flagged a need to clarify with the CPA Committee how unused grant funds would be handled if treatment is deemed unnecessary.
