Belchertown's new Veteran's Service Agent Dustin Ruby convened his first board meeting on April 30. Ruby introduced himself to the eight members present and led a comprehensive review of the Veterans Services Advisory Board's mission and membership structure. The board finalized volunteer schedules for Memorial Day, with Mt.
Hope Cemetery flagged on May 15 at 9:30 a.m. and South Cemetery on May 16 at 9:30 a.m. by the VFW. Two resignations were announced: Vincent Viglione will step down as Veterans Graves Officer effective May 31 and Bill McClure will resign from the committee effective May 30.
