BELCHERTOWN — Opioid Settlement Fund Advisory Committee sets HALO program parameters. The committee approved by consensus a two-year lookback for applicants, a $7,500 maximum benefit per applicant, and four eligible categories: legal aid, funeral expenses, child wellness, and behavioral health. Belchertown residency required; payments go directly to providers.

Chair Gail Gramarossa will contact Rize to clarify how grant funds would be allocated to the town's program. The committee rejected a roughly $48,000 funding request from a Texas-based digital addiction-support organization, favoring local options. The Select Board approved funds on May 18 for Honest Beginnings lower-level renovation.
