BELCHERTOWN — Opioid Settlement Fund Advisory Committee updates grant and program status. Chair Gail Gramarossa and four members heard that Belchertown and Ware jointly won a RIZE/Mosaic grant to hire a Care Coordinator and Housing Navigator; the towns are drafting a subcontract with Western Mass Consortium. The Community Wellness program at Clapp Memorial Library remains on pause pending a new Public Health Nurse hire, with interviews underway.

Epidemiologist Emma Berthiaume reported from a recent Hampshire HOPE regional lunch-and-learn where North Attleboro presented its opioid response plan. The town must sign settlement documents by May 4 to access revenue from six remaining defendant settlements.
