Planning Board approves lot reconfiguration and supports housing proposal.

Planning Board · Meeting of February 24, 2026

Belchertown Planning Board unanimously approved a lot-line reconfiguration and backed a housing proposal. The Board approved an Approval Not Required application for Thomas D. and Deborah A. Ablicki to reconfigure Map 278 lots while maintaining the existing number of lots.

Chair Dan Beaudette led the Board to unanimously recommend favorable action to the Zoning Board of Appeals for Joshua Kenney's special-permit request to add a fourth unit to his three-unit property at 167 Warren Wright Road, noting the applicant plans to install fire sprinklers throughout the house. The Board also identified zoning-revision priorities, including signage, parking, the keeping of animals, and the Schedule of Uses, as part of concurrent land use planning and bylaw-review initiatives.
