BELCHERTOWN — Select Board approves $8,900 Opioid Settlement Fund grant to Honest Beginnings. The five-member board, led by Chair Lesa Lessard Pearson, voted unanimously May 18 to fund basement repairs and furnishings at the sober living home on Federal Street after the Opioid Settlement Fund Committee resolved conflict-of-interest concerns with revised construction bids. The Board also unanimously endorsed the Purchase and Sale Agreement for the Boyce Property contingent on a state grant and the Acceptance of Deed for the Greene Property for conservation purposes.
The Energy and Sustainability Committee presented a rooftop solar project proposal with estimated lease revenue projected at over $100,000 annually across phases including Chestnut Hill, the Fire Department, and the Senior Center.
