Belchertown Select Board approves utility poles and liquor licenses amid signage policy review. The board voted unanimously to approve three National Grid pole placements on Jensen Street and referred a fourth pole on Old Enfield Road back to the Department of Public Works and National Grid after disagreement over placement distance from pavement. Chair Whitney Jorns Kuhnlenz's board also approved annual and one-day liquor licenses for Cold Spring Country Club and the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce golf tournament, with Jonathan Ritter recusing himself as an abutter.
The board endorsed grant applications for conservation land acquisition and recreational facility improvement, approved year-end municipal transfer requests totaling $3,331, and adopted a flexible FY27 meeting calendar. Members instructed the Town Manager to bring a temporary signage policy review to a future meeting.
