Belchertown Select Board unanimously approves 41-article warrant for spring town meetings. The board completed final review of the Special and Annual Town Meeting warrants, removing one article as unnecessary and adding a provision for a 10-acre EDIC transfer. Chair Lesa Lessard Pearson, Vice Chair Jennifer D Turner, and Clerk Nicole A Miner approved all nine motions before them, including unanimous reappointment of Anna Kuralt-Fenton as Animal Control Officer; ratification of Julie Meyer as Conservation Administrator effective April 24; and appointment of Michael Konstan to the Board of Registrars Democratic Position through March 31, 2029.
Town Manager Williams reported that municipalities in the Hampshire County Group Insurance Trust face rate increases as high as 35 percent, compared to Belchertown's 12.5 percent increase.
