BELCHERTOWN — Select Board completes Town Manager performance review with mixed results. Belchertown's five-member Select Board, led by Chair Whitney Jorns Kuhnlenz, concluded a comprehensive evaluation of Town Manager Steven J Williams in public session on June 9, assigning him scores of 4.4 for community approachability, 4.2 for energy and dedication, and 4.0 for public health and safety advancement. Lower marks included 2.6 for problem anticipation and analysis and 2.8 for economic development strategy, with Board recommendations for stronger departmental leadership and more coordinated business development initiatives.
The Board approved incorporating discussion edits into a final version for future signature and scheduled a separate meeting to establish goals and objectives for the upcoming fiscal year.
