BELCHERTOWN — Select Board endorses land purchase and names Planning Board alternate. The Belchertown board unanimously backed a 127-acre Walker/Mahall property acquisition at no town cost through a grant and Kestrel Land Trust, pending Town Meeting approval, and appointed Mark Plante of 24 Jackson Street as the Planning Board's alternate voting member for special permits effective July 1. The Board also approved a Pride Month proclamation and authorized the Pride flag to be raised June 1 at 12:00 PM, with the annual Pride Event scheduled June 20.
Town Manager Steven J Williams reported endorsement of Warrants 2642 ($2,244,492.16) and 2643 ($1,203,005.42), and the Board entered executive session to discuss police, fire, and DPW contract negotiations and real estate strategy for 6 and 8 Berkshire Avenue.
