BELCHERTOWN — Board of Assessors approves motor vehicle excise abatements and authorizes Department of Revenue filings. Chair Craig Tommila, Vice Chair Jeanmarie Leone, Clerk Loring Caney, Jr., and Director of Assessments Zak Bombard approved five monthly motor vehicle excise abatement batches totaling $4,951.82 and signed a Schedule of Bills for $1,714.99. The board signed a letter authorizing Bombard to submit necessary paperwork for valuation approvals and tax rate setting through Gateway.
The board also approved a revised Senior/Veteran Tax Work-Off program application with added disclaimers addressing potential federal income tax implications.
