EDIC approves mowing contract, tracks Carriage Grove marketing.

BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown Economic Development and Industrial Corporation unanimously approved a $7,200 mowing contract with Lamoreaux Tree & Landscaping, contingent on liability insurance and scope documentation. Development manager Tim Gilbert reported that MassDevelopment is reassessing Carriage Grove marketing strategy and considering a general request for information to housing developers in Q3; three new signs with QR codes directing prospects to available properties are in production and expected within 30 days. The board discussed upcoming deed transfers for Parcels B and D, with Parcel B awaiting conservation commission approval before recording at the July 20th meeting.

Members opened discussion on renewing the MassDevelopment agreement expiring in November, identifying priorities including water issues, marketing strategy, funding, and site utilization.
