Economic Development and Industrial Corporation · Meeting of June 17, 2026
Belchertown EDIC introduces member, authorizes brush hogging contractor bids. The board, led by Chair and Treasurer Beth Maroney, introduced new member Jessica Fraga and authorized Kirk Stephens to solicit bids from local contractors for brush hogging at the development campus. The board declined Stephens' request to hire clerical staff for meeting minutes, citing no available funding from MassDev, the state funding agency.
Robert Jenkins reported all campus parcels remain unencumbered and previewed a June 24 meeting with MassDev and interested parties from Greenfield, Northampton, and Belchertown. Aaron Vega presented analysis of industry clusters including Quantum Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Food Science, and highlighted the need for workforce housing in Belchertown.
