EDIC approves Site Readiness grant extension; broker search underway for industrial parcels.

Economic Development and Industrial Corporation · Meeting of March 4, 2026

Belchertown EDIC unanimously backs Site Readiness grant extension for industrial parcel D. The five-member board, with remote member Bob Rivard present, voted to authorize Chair Kirk Stephens to execute the agreement with MassDevelopment, which will deliver marketing materials for two key parcels offered for sale. Matt Jackson reported meetings scheduled with prospective brokers for Parcels B and D; a tracking protocol was established to route all expressions of interest through Jackson and a future broker rather than directly to board members.

The board also approved a $150 brokerage fee and began preliminary Master Plan renewal discussions focused on zoning, business types, and buyer demand across the state.
