Lake Committee · Meeting of July 14, 2026

BELCHERTOWN — Lakes Committee authorizes algae treatment for Lake Holland contingent on test results. The committee unanimously backed the expenditure, which may proceed if testing warrants intervention. Treasurer John Soja reported $5,000 in the account.

Treatment of Lakes Holland and Arcadia is set for July 15, with the Conservation Administrator's office monitoring Lake Metacomet and conducting algae testing. Committee member Kathi Smith announced her resignation, and the committee is recruiting to fill the vacancy.
