Belchertown Records 17 Property Transfers in Late July, Led by $240,000 Sale

Belchertown recorded 17 property transfers between July 3 and Aug. 1, according to Hampshire County Registry of Deeds data. Six transactions disclosed a sale price, ranging from $70,000 to $240,000, with a median of $95,750. The period's highest-priced sale was 34 Kopec Ave. for $240,000, sold by Judith A. Shattuck to Citizens Bank NA. Five of the six disclosed-price deeds named a bank or mortgage lender as the buyer, a pattern consistent with foreclosure filings, while 11 of the 17 recorded transactions did not disclose a price. The data offers limited insight into conventional market conditions given the mix of foreclosure and non-sale filings.
